Easter/Spring Break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SORRY VERY LONG!!!
We asked the girls what they wanted to do for the Easter and Spring break week, they repeatedly choose to go camping. So we watch the weather all week and kept telling them that it was going to be cold, snowing/raining all weekend. But they didn't care, they still wanted to go have a sleepover, roast marsh-mellows, and have a fire. So we packed up the camper and all the Easter stuff to spend a very cold weekend in the mountains. The weekend started off with the girls spending the afternoon swimming at the rec. center with their cousins. Then hurrying home to load up in the truck and off to Logan. We went up Blacksmiths Canyon and found the cutest campsite near a creek. We were able to set up camp, and cook diner just as the Storm blew in. Gotta love heaters, we were toasty inside as we listen to the rain and snow hit the camper all night.

Saturday morning we woke up to 5 inches of snow. I was expecting to sleep in but the girls were up at 7 and the first thing Kelsie asked for was to go play in the snow.
Brant and the girls went for a hike, then spent the bulk of the day playing in the creek and the snow.
Kirsten loved playing on the bed, especially when i would close the gate.

It is absolutely beautiful here, it was so relaxing at night to listen to the water run, and the hill sides were covered with deer. LOVE IT.
*****THIS DUMP picture got moved by accident and I can't get it back, so it belongs where the stars are***************

Kaelyn was worried about the Easter bunny finding us in the Mountains, but we reassured her that the Bunny is very smart and will know how to find her. The girls were very excited on Sunday morning to wake up and go look for their baskets. I think we were up at 7 had breakfast and by 8 they were dress and outside looking.

Kels was upset because Kaelyn had found her basket for her.

Every year we go to Logan to the property where my mother grew up and search a 10 acre lot for all of the Grand kids Easter Baskets. I love coming here and watching the excitement on all the kids faces as they search in and out and under everything. My grandfather owned a lumber company and this is where the old sawmill used to be. In it's day there was 5 big building that cut the lumber and it was so much fun to play in the saw dust and around all the big saws and machines. Now all that stands is my moms old house, the barn, and one saw house. It is sad how time changes, but the kids still love going there every year.

Spring Break

On Tuesday daddy took Kaelyn on a date to see "How to train your dragon". She was so excited to come back and tell us all about her special night. She said there was a part that was a little scary and she cuddled up into daddy's arms and she felt safe. Brant also took her shopping afterwards to buy a new outfit, she wore it for three days straight. Kaelyn wants to go on more daddy dates. So Kelsie got to stay home and play in the snow with mom, So we built a snowman and play for 45 mins outside. She loves being outside, she does not care what the weather is doing. Kelsie will ask everyday to go on a bike ride or play outside even if it is raining.
On Wednesday we went to "The Living Planet Aquarium" the girls loved seeing all the displays but they love the octopus, and the seahorse the best.

On Thursday we jumped on the Front Runner and headed to Ogden. There the girls grandparents and Aunt Jackie picked us up for lunch and a play day at the park by my parents house. We loved it and plan to ride up to Ogden more often for a day with my family.

On Friday we loaded up the snowmobiles and headed to Vernal to spend the weekend at some family members cabin. The girls were so excited because they got their helmets for Christmas and this was the first time they got to use them, besides they will not pass up a chance to have a sleepover in a cabin or camper either. We had to ride the snowmobiles into the cabin because the road was stilled closed because of too much snow still on them. This was a 5 mile adventure, we had to pull a sled behind one of the snowmobiles with all of bags and food for 2 days. Well by the time we got to the cabin with sled was full of water and snow that all the bags/clothes were soaking wet. Thank heavens for fire and fans to dry all of our stuff. This didn't put a damper on the weekend the girls still enjoyed the experience.

Brant took this shot at sunset just outside of the Cabin.

Kirsten enjoying an Oreo cookie, she wouldn't let me take it from her or clean her up.
Three very excited little girls getting ready for their sleepover in the cabin.

The girls played in the snow half the day, their favorite was daddy
pulling them around in the sled behind the snowmobile. All three girls loved it you could hear them giggling the whole time.

This is a random shot of Kelsie. On day while Kae was at school I was working on New Beginning stuff for Young Women's. Kelsie asked me if she could watch a movie in my bathroom so I gave her the portable DVD player, and this is where she settled down to enjoy a movie while I was busy. Way to cute, she always comes up with the silliest things.

While we had good weather the girls got out their skates and hit the bike trail behind our house. Kaelyn spent the whole afternoon on her skates until she figured out how to roller skate. She gets an idea in her head and she works on the skill/idea until she can master it.
